Child Sexual Abuse & Exploitation (CSAE) Policy

Innate Dating Ltd is committed to safeguarding children and young people and preventing all forms of sexual abuse and exploitation in accordance with UK law.

1. Purpose

This policy sets out how Innate Dating Ltd protects minors from harm, including abuse or exploitation online. It aligns with UK legislation, including the Children Act 1989 & 2004 and Keeping Children Safe in Education (DfE, 2024).

2. Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, freelancers, and third parties who interact with our platform, users, or content involving children or young people under 18.

3. Definitions

  • Child/Young Person: Anyone under 18.
  • Child Sexual Abuse (CSA): Any sexual activity with a child or sexual exploitation.
  • Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE): Exploiting a child for sexual purposes, often through coercion or manipulation.
  • Grooming: Deliberate actions to gain trust to facilitate abuse.
  • User-Generated Content (UGC): Any content uploaded or shared by platform users.

4. Code of Conduct

  • No sexual activity or inappropriate communication with anyone under 18.
  • All suspicions of abuse must be reported immediately.
  • Respect privacy and consent at all times.
  • Follow online safety measures to prevent illegal content.

5. Recruitment & Vetting

  • DBS checks for roles with potential access to minors.
  • Reference checks for all new hires.
  • Mandatory safeguarding training for employees in moderation or customer support.

6. Reporting Procedures

Anyone who suspects CSAE should report it immediately:

  • Local Authority Children’s Services
  • Police: 101 (999 in emergencies)
  • NSPCC helpline: 0808 800 5000

Whistleblowers reporting concerns in good faith will be protected from retaliation.

7. Response & Investigation

  • Immediate steps to safeguard the child.
  • Safeguarding Officer coordinates with authorities.
  • Digital evidence is secured and confidentiality maintained.
  • Disciplinary action, including termination, for policy breaches.

8. Training & Awareness

  • Mandatory annual CSAE training for all staff.
  • Additional training for moderation and support teams.
  • Regular updates on legal obligations and platform risks.

9. Online Safety Measures

  • Age verification to prevent under-18 users.
  • Monitoring and moderation of user content.
  • User reporting channels for inappropriate behaviour.
  • Detection systems to flag grooming or exploitation.

10. Policy Review

This policy will be reviewed at least annually or after significant safeguarding incidents or changes in law. Updates will be communicated to all staff and stakeholders.
